On July 1st, 1972, in New York City, an eccentric, first generational middle child was born, later reconized as Michael Lyra. Early in his childhood, Michael discovered his imaginative, idiomatic writing style; after being introduced to the world of comic books. These caricatures catapulted his originative thought process, enough to create his own brand of writing and character illustrations.
Discovering his newly found passion, this young boy from the Bronx began harnessing and controlling his descriptive powers, as he created eventual action filled compositions with diversified story lines. Later, as a young adult, he collaborated with other exceptional local writers and artists; which fueled this valiant penman's inspiration of one day becoming a number one selling author.
Michael's passion for the imagined scientific factors grew intensely through his ongoing and extensive research of Astronomy, the science of sound, ancient civilizations, archaeological artifacts, lost cities and the study of social and psychological human behaviors. Journalism also piqued his interest; as he contributed his formative intake onto other projects to broaden his writing abilities. His identity gradually began taking form when he wrote for "The Sargonites" blog, also when he began featuring on many online radio interviews and creative knowledge building workshops throughout the US eastern states.
Aside from being a dedicated father and a handicraftsman by day; Michael Lyra became the sci-fi litterateur by night. But his greatest challenge now crosses his path, forcing him to tap into his innermost imaginative abilities.
